My name is Shelley Mills i am 25 years old I am a single mother of two children ages 2 and 4. I am unemployed due to temporary lay off period of January 1st-February 28th. I was expecting to be able to get unemployment compensation but have been denied. As is was explained to me from Oct of 2005-sep 2006 you must average 200 per week. I was working two part time jobs during that period which together barely averages out to that amount. As I have never dealt with unemployment benefits before I now find myself without a means to pay upcoming rent due Feb 1st. I have applied for food stamps and medical which are pending and have gotten placed on a pay scale of zero for my electricity and heating bills until I return to work march 1st 2007. No agency will help me with this problem until I receive an eviction notice. I have never been late or had any rent issues under my current landlord. I've been here for over a year and was hoping to keep this landlord on good standings so he can be a great reference towards obtaining housing in the future. Can you help me?
